Anna’s Life

I am so excited this week.  The reason is because my sister is finally moving back home to Chattanooga from Jacksonville, FL.  She has lived out of state for at least 19 years or so.  Although we are not actually blood relatives, we are step-sisters, but she is the only one I have. 

We drifted apart after our parents divorced but found each other via the Internet more than 5 years ago.  Since then, we both had married and had families. 

We were finally able to physically get together on one of our vacations to Disney World in June 2007.  We had a blast catching up and introducing our children to each other. Since that time, we were able to meet on our next trip to Disney World in March of this year.  We really had a great time.

 She has been up to visit our hometown a few times in-between too.  Finally, she will be home where most of her family is.  My kids are so excited to have her here too. 

I can remember when we were growing up, we would share anything and everything just like best friends and sisters.  She certainly brightened my otherwise only child somewhat dull childhood and gave me a taste of sisterhood.  For that I am always thankful. Isn’t it funny how the simple things in life can make you feel so good?
