Our Vacation continued…

After our 7+ hour VIP tour at Sea World, we decided to have a nice relaxing day at our resort pool at Saratoga Springs Resort. It was so hot at Sea World we were just drained. A pool day is just what we needed.
We slept in and headed for the pool when we got up. It was a nice day.
We spent the rest of our vacation at Disney World our favorite place. We were going to be celebrating my son’s 14th birthday later that week. He wanted to spend it at Disney World. Can’t say that I blame him.
It was just too hot to do much of anything. We went to Boardwalk to pool hop because we are DVC members and can do that. We were able to swim there for about an hour when a storm hit. We changed and decided to head over to Beaches & Cream for dinner. We were in the mood for a great cheeseburger, onion rings and some ice cream. It really hit the spot and it rained the whole time we were eating.
My son would be going to Sea World Adventure camp the week after his birthday for their career camp so we only had this week with him.
The day before his birthday we ate at one of his favorite restaurants: Yak & Yeti. He LOVES the mussels there as does my daughter. Although appetizers are not on the basic dining plan (wish they were instead of desserts) we let them go ahead and each order one. That is their favorite part of the meal.
I had the Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. The whole meal was great. We were also seated by the window and had a great view of Animal Kingdom’s afternoon parade while sitting in a nice air conditioned area! It was a great day.
For his birthday dinner, Cameron wanted to eat at the Coral Reef. It was a great meal.
We met another DVC family with two boys and hit it off. We ended up hanging out together for the rest of the trip. We had a blast. Cameron really hated to go to camp since he had some new friends to do things with.
